“The Golden Key” is a well-known fairy tale by Alexei Tolstoy, which has enchanted generations of children. It tells the story of how a wooden log in the hands of Papa Carlo transforms into the comical Buratino, whom he calls his son. He is a brave and daring little man, unafraid of danger. With the help of a golden key given to him by the wise tortoise Tortilla, he enters a magical land and witnesses Karabas Barabas’s inhumane treatment of his performers. Buratino takes the side of the oppressed. He is assisted in everything by his loyal friends—the beautiful Malvina, the sorrowful Pierrot, and his faithful dog Artemon.
