The Golden Key

“The Golden Key” is a well-known fairy tale by Alexei Tolstoy, which has enchanted generations of children. It tells the story of how a wooden log in the hands of Papa Carlo transforms into the comical Buratino, whom he calls his son. He is a brave and daring little man, unafraid of danger. With the help of a golden key given to him by the wise tortoise Tortilla, he enters a magical land and witnesses Karabas Barabas’s inhumane treatment of his performers.
