Today, a working meeting with film director and screenwriter Roman Kachanov was held at the Chekhov Theatre. The main topic of discussion was preparations for the creative evening “Moments, Fragments, and Elements from Life and Cinema,” which will take place at the Chekhov Theatre on May 14.
Roman Kachanov describes the concept of the upcoming evening: “This is not a lecture or a ‘meeting with cultural figures.’ It is a rare format of live conversation, where you can hear what is usually left behind the scenes: how films are born, which then take on a life of their own; why absurdity is more honest than realism; and what is happening in and within cinema.”
This will be an opportunity for viewers to interact with the creator of the cult films “DMB” and “Down House,” quotes from which have become proverbial sayings.
A special guest for the evening will be Ukrainian actor Alexey Gorbunov, an artist of incredible dramatic range.
