Fat – Frumos. The Legend of the Brave Knight

Every nation has its favorite fairytale hero: in Denmark, it’s Ole Lukøye, the Uzbeks have the famous Hodja Nasreddin, Arabian fairy tales are unimaginable without Aladdin, and the British devour stories of Robin Hood. All of these characters have become national favorites because they fight evil and help good people.

In Romanian fairy tales, the hero is Fat-Frumos, a young man who overcomes all difficulties with dignity. “Once upon a time. So long ago that it became a fairy tale. In a certain kingdom, in a certain state, a good fellow named Fat-Frumos was born. The little fellow grew by leaps and bounds. To everyone’s surprise, to his mother’s admiration…”

Fat-Frumos will have to overcome trials beyond the capabilities of an ordinary person. At the cost of his youth, he will complete the tasks of the evil witch, fight the monster – the serpent Laur-Balaur and free the beautiful Ilyana-Kosynzyana from captivity.
