An ordinary boy named Jacques, one of the miller’s sons, is kicked out of his home by his older brothers, leaving him penniless on the streets. All Jacques has is a pair of boots and a cat. But the cat, it turns out, is not so simple—he is cunning, resourceful, clever, and courageous, and he also has a dream: to marry the royal cat, Mademoiselle Purr-purr. Incredible adventures await the genius cat on his journey to fulfilling his dream. He helps his master become rich, earn the trust and admiration of the king, and find a wife. The tale teaches that one should never become discouraged under any circumstances, but rather persistently and confidently pursue one’s goals and dreams.
