International Day of Persons with Disabilities – celebrated at the Chekhov Theatre with a special performance.
On December 3, 2024, at 12:00, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the State Russian Drama Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov will be pleased to host a unique performance performed by children with disabilities, including those with Down syndrome. The event is organized in collaboration with the Plaiul Soarelui Foundation, JSC Planeta Carității, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.


The performance, inspired by the Christmas story, presents iconic characters on stage – the shepherds, the Magi, Joseph, Mary and the Baby Jesus – emphasizing the importance of social inclusion and solidarity.
The Chekhov Theatre is pleased to support this initiative, demonstrating its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for all.


The event is open to the press, officials and the general public, providing an opportunity to support the social integration of people with disabilities and promote the values ​​of solidarity and empathy.
